Canton Paradise with Neighbour

Hello Humans,

Meet up with Jeremy last week for lunch at Canton Paradise at JCube, somewhere which is nearer to our place. Anyway it’s more like tea-time since it’s kinda late lunch and it’s tea-time promotion. So we sort of loitered around the mall while waiting for the time to strike 2.30pm.  This friend of mine seems to love JCube a lot and he introduced me a lot of eateries. But I was keen to try Canton Paradise since I've not try it before.

We got seated slightly before 2.30pm and starred at the menu, counting down to the promo time. He sort of highly recommended this handmade meat ball porridge cos it’s nice and he’s been here for 4 times ordering the same thing! Oh well, not many choices for the promo porridge since I don’t eat century egg and squid so I’m left with 2 options. Encouraged him to order something new and so he ordered chicken and mushroom porridge. We were kinda disappointed when we were told that they have no more milk tea. He doesn't really want to accept the fact and asked if it will be like out of stock of the whole day -.- I was like “Hello are you gonna stay here the whole day?!” HAHA. In the end I ordered Warm Barley and he ordered a weird drink- watercress honey drink. Hmm, a pity that I was having flu and I don’t wanna be evil to spread around so I didn't try it but I really wonder how it tastes like! It looks weird, at least to me, or us. HAHA.

I was kinda surprised when the porridge was served cos it’s quite a big bowl! I was anticipating a small rice bowl okay. HAHA. Never mind at least that’s a pleasant surprise (: You know, usually I don’t order porridge cos it’s too hot to consume. It makes eating slightly difficult. But hey, this is pretty nice and the portion is huge! How should I say the texture? It’s those 糊 kind, so it can be very filling. The 4 meatballs that comes with it were quite smooth and bouncy and the fried you tiao is nice though the portion is quite stingy!

Then here comes our dimsum- 小笼包, 烧卖, fried radish cake and the other one which I can’t remember and don’t remember its name. To me they taste normal, so I don’t have much comment. But the fried radish cake supposed to have 腊味which I seriously couldn't detect any taste of it but my eyes sort of saw some tiny bits. Thought of trying other dimsum but luckily we didn't cos the meal is already quite filling.

For a $10 meal, with a quiet and pretty comfy ambiance, I think it’s quite worth it for a visit or visits! Oh ya, we were allocated to sofa seats, those “live in your own world” kind which is good place for catch up! I’m thinking of bringing my family there one fine there and perhaps try out some of their dimsum/food cos I saw some photos on instagram and the food like OMG. This includes  流沙包 with its filling oozing out! Meet up was kind of short and our conversation was everywhere and random? And how can a student, who still has 1.5 semester to graduate to secure a job when someone else is unemployed?! Spoil market!
Okay, pretty much of it. See you again neighbor. HAHA.

On a side note, I went libraries at Woodlands and JE. To my surprise there’s a huge collection of Agatha Christine’s book in Woodlands library! And since I couldn't find other books written by Mitch Albom, I borrowed some books by Agatha Christine’s instead. It somehow reminded me of an old friend of mine, who we didn't contact for super long. She's kind of MIA. Hope she's doing fine now (:

D' Good Cafe with 117

Hello Humans,

Meet up with 117 is always venue-changing! We always set Food for Thought at Botanical Garden as the initial place but we always end up somewhere else. This time we changed to D’ Good Café at Holland Village. (: So here we are, walking along the stretch of familiar streets that we walked past for our Hatched trip. The café wasn’t hard to find. It’s just a minute walk from HV MRT Exit B, walking pass a lot of ATM machines and Hatched and slightly further down.

Don’t step into the wrong place, cos you gonna walk up the stairs to get into the café. If not, you can get through a glass door and get up using their cute elevator! It was really interesting for the both of us and we couldn’t resist but to take it. It goes super slow and its maximum capacity is 4 pax at 400 kg. This reminds me of those small elevator in hostels/hotels in Europe! And being in all white, I can’t help it but think of secret agents reporting whether their missions are completed or not! So yeah, we played with the elevator.
It took us quite a while to search for their menu and it was after minutes that we checked with the staff and realize they are on the ordering counter. The staff was kinda rude when both of us took a menu each and he said we could only take one with us, in a very impolite tone. BAD IMPRESSION.

117 ordered Homemade English Breakfast ($16.50), which she find below average and the best thing on her plate is the toast with jam.
YQ and her Breakfast for Dinner. :D
My Fresh prawn Aglio Olio ($16) was pretty standard, so I don’t have much comment. At least it wasn’t petty and comes with 6 prawns. However, I think TCC Aglio Olio is much nicer than this.
And here's me with my food! ;)
Bad toilet they have. It wasn't the clean toilet like other cafes, at least those that I’ve visited so far, and the stupid door was so difficult to close and I was like a retard figuring how to close it. I’m never good at those kind of door, reminding how I got stuck in an airplane toilet when I was 12 years old. The basin was poorly designed cos you can’t rinse your month cos there’s something that’s blocking your way. The water is bad cos the front part of my skirt got wet. Yes, I’ve a lot to complaint, just for the toilet. X: Because you know right, most of the cafe toilets I've been to are very well-maintained and very comfortable. SO.... Hmmm.

But we spotted a pretty spot at the café, the open area at the third floor! 几romantic一下! The pretty night scene coupled with the pretty lighting, it seems like a good place to date! HAHA, but it was quite hot and there’s no wind so we chose an indoor seat.

I do admit that I’ve quite a few bad impression of the café (and we didn’t get to play the swing! L ) and the food is so-so only or below standard, it’s probably I wouldn’t be visiting it anytime soon. But it’s only 2 food out of the menu so it can be quite biased. And one bonus is probably no GST & Service charge! You can save quite a bit from that 17% okay. But first impression always counts. Maybe, maybe I’ll be back one day for their food, cakes or drinks maybe?

So yeah after our dinner, we walked around Holland Village. 117 was surprised when I told her it’s probably my third time coming HV and my first proper night here that day. Actually I myself find it unbelievable too. HAHA. But yeah, I’m not really into night life. 8pm onwards seems to be home-time, where I should be at home eating dinner and probably catching nice/funny/meaningful programmes or drama.  I am certainly a home-girl. HAHA. Back to HV, the rows of restaurants, cafes and food along that stretch of food are damn attractive. I AM SO GONNA TRY THEM, one fine day! A chalkboard grabbed 117’s attention and cute 117 thought that …. HAHA, I’m not sure whether I should say it here cos it will reveal how cute she is. Maybe I shan’t.
So anyway we headed into NYDC and had our round 2! Dessert time with cake and icecream! (: HAHA. I tell you it was damn funny cos we were very indecisive, we walked to the counter with cakes and tried to look at the inside of the cakes but too bad we couldn’t see from our view. We were tempted to ask the staff to turn it for us to see but we were too paiseh to make such a request. After seeing how ugly the Ugly Cake is, we decided on Boo Boo the cake. And guess what, not long after we sat down (we were sitting right in front of the counter) someone requested the staff to turn the cake -.- Nice ambience cos we got comfy sofa seats that’s so spacious for the two of us and the place is so bright that I’m not that sleepy! Icecream was not bad, and it's $2 for one icecream cone. The Boo Boo Cake was okay for me cos I'm fine with dessert/cake (not all but spongy.mousy I also okay!), but YQ prefer more spongy kind. 117 footed the dessert bill, thanks huh! :D She even say she’s gonna treat me TWG macaroon next time! WAHAHHA, thanks huh, I will remember and I hope you will too! Okay, greedy piggy bean mode on.
So yeah, thanks 117 for the dessert and accompanying me to explore HV at night! Hope you wouldn’t have to OT too much! Till we meet again, by the end of 2013 for a successful Botanical Garden trip! :)

Two-Faced Pizza with Laopos

Hello Humans,
Finally a meet up with my laopos weeks ago and we visited Two-Faced Pizza at Tiong Bahru!

Well, according to one of my laopos, it was named as two-faced pizza cos the coffee shop runs like a normal coffee shop in the morning, with stalls selling different stuff, but at night it turns to a café-like place that sells pizza. It wasn't too hard to locate the place if you know the way to Tiong Bahru Bakery or The Orange Thimble cos they are all along the same stretch! Just walk further down and you’ll see it. Oh yes, according to Bay, there’s a very famous stall selling yong tau foo. It must be really famous cos she repeated it N times. So do try it when if you’re a yong tau foo lover or around the area. HEE.

We wanted to have the table that’s nearer to the road, cos you know, like more feel. But too bad it’s reserved and we got ourselves an indoor seat. Ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta to share. I can’t help it but making the same statement throughout my dining session- it’s quite hard and dry. I think I repeated at least 5 times in the shop itself. The pizza tastes pretty… eh not bad? But the crust was really dry and it turned hard very fast, at least to me. Well, cos to Bay it wasn't that hard and dry. But we realized why it was so for Bay near the end of the dinner! Cos she ate lesser than me and ZY! HAHAHAHHAHA. Okay I’m kidding. Seriously Bay I’m kidding so please don’t be angry!

Oh, we also ordered truffle fries, which is a disappointment to me cos the fries turned soggy very fast, especially those at the bottom of the bowl. ): Bay played a huge part eating the fries so I have to give her credit, and maybe XQ cos it’s nearer to them. LOL. As for ZY, what a poor thing to have sore throat when we planned to have pizza that’s so dry X:

The lights in the coffee shop were very dim, and I was sleepy while eating despite having chats. X: Despite not-so-good food and the dim sleepy lights to make the place to have more feel, it’s great to spend time with my girls though it was a short meet up since all of us have things to busy the next day.

Bay said that her friend commented that we look alike here. Yes/No/don't know?

Anyway, can’t wait for our next meet-up that we have yet to plan. But we’ll definitely meet again (:
Just a random reminder, it was rather hot during our visit. Partly because there’s no aircon and secondly I’m wearing a thick long sleeve knit top. LOL, it was raining super ultra-heavy in the morning and it was really cold! I guess I wouldn't be visiting it anytime soon cos the pizza didn't leave a good impression, so did the truffle fries.

Cafe hopping with xq [Letoile Cafe and Wimbly Lu Chocolate]

Hello Humans,

This post is gonna be on yummy food again! Yes I've been eating all the sinful sweet food, especially on this cafe-hopping day with XQ since most of the stuff we ate were starchy and desserts. FATTENING SINFUL FOOOODDDD, I think I'm gaining weight again ):

Cafe-hopping buddy of the day!

We have a list of cafes but we decided on Letoile Cafe and Wimbly Lu Chocolate as they are along the purple line. Cos since we'll be having the whole day for two cafes, it will be better for us to go cafes that are further from where we stay. We did think of exploring other parts of the purple line, such as walking around Puggol Park or something cos it's really somewhere that seems not bad to explore! But we'll save that to other days cos it was raining quite bad and XQ had something on that day.

As I've mentioned, it was raining on our date so it got a bit troublesome for us to nagivate our way. ): Meet up the girl at Farrer Park and we spent more than 30 minutes finding Letoile Cafe though it supposed to be like a 7 minutes walk. I was hoping that Goggle did not lie to me again and make us walk one big round. It didn't really lie to ask but somehow we just got lost. Our poor feets were all soaked in water when we finally reached the place. But anyway, the cafe is really quite easy to find and nice the MRT if you didn't get out at the wrong Exit.

Though we were quite sianjipua with our wet shoes and feet, I got to admit that I'm quite happy with the cafe! It's kinda like a peaceful and quiet place standing on a random Owen Road.

We didn't order much since we just wanna try some of their food and to look around and nuah around. So here's Banana Nutella Toast and Carrot Cake. We shared the food so we could try more but sad to say that XQ didn't eat much of the Carrot Cake cos it was too sweet for her. But as for me, I think the sweetness was still okay! HAHA, so I ate most of it :X We also order a pot of tea at $5.90 to share and it can be refilled! 2 food plus tea, we just lazed around and chat on random things despite us getting sleepy from our lunch and rain.

And it is a pretty cafe with pretty stuff, as can be seen from the photo above! Tables, sofa and all the stuffs make the place so nice to nuah. A place where you can really just laze around, along or with your friends to chit chat and munch on affordable food. Cakes looks not bad and the price seems acceptable but I've yet to try them. But I believe I'll be visiting them again so no hurry! HEE. Anyway the total bill was around $20.

My POV: I think I don't have to say much. Personally I love the place. Price range is sort of standard for cafe but some prices still acceptable eg tea. I also love where it is located, standing along a random street with less crowd on a weekday, sipping tea into your mouth, reading a book on hands or catching up with friends.

Operation hour: Mon-Fri 11am-10pm / Sat-Sun 9am -10pm (YES it's open on Monday!)
Nearest Station: Farrer Park, Exit D

P.S. I went there another time after a few days with my sister! HAHA, so did XQ with her friend. LOL. Will blog about it in another post! HEE.

So after hours of lazing around and got cheated that we could get cheap Golden Village tickets at City Square, we set off to Wimbly Lu Chocolate which is near Serangoon MRT. We gonna walk a bit from the station to the cafe but it was much easier cos the rain has stopped and somehow we got some directions already and hence didn't get lost. HEE.

We ordered Vegetarian Baked Rice and Larva Chocolate Cake since we had too much sweet treats and it's time for some savoury food! HAHA, and we have to try their chocolate since their name has "Chocolate" too! Okay that's what I'm saying only, we actually were thinking between chocolate tofu cake or something and larva chocolate and end up ordering the latter. Vegetarian Baked Rice was nice. It looks quite simple and plain but it's nice! You know some baked rice you eat and eat until don't really wanna eat cos it's too oily or 腻? It's totally not the case for this. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use but we kind of like it. The rice, its ingredients and cheese were like good combination for something starchy, nice and simple yet nice. I think I'm repeating myself. So anyway, the larva chocolate cake was yummy too, but it's kinda small too! Inside was really soft. I guess inside was almost all liquid state of chocolate but I couldn't really remember.

Here's us with the background of the cafe! Pretty nice and we got ourselves a corner table which is kinda peaceful in the noisy cafe. HAHA. What's above us was a glass/transparent roof where you can check out what's happening outside! We also talked about it whether it's good to have one at home, HAHA. Didn't stay that long in the cafe, we were really tired and sleepy but decided to make a move before any rain comes. By the way the bill for two was $20.

MY POV: This cafe is located among those landed property, pretty interesting. The location wasn't difficult to find, if you never get lost. The food here are not bad. As for atmosphere wise, it's pretty not bad though it can be uite crowded and noisy. Seats are pretty limited too.

So all in all, we spent $20 each for cafe-hopping that day! Awesome date with XQ while she was having holiday! I have been eating nice food and visiting cafes cos people around me (e.g. sis and friend) wanna try out some cafes and so do I! But I realized my wallet/bank is getting from thin to thinner and me myself getting from fat to fatter so I guess I need to control a little bit already. HAIX.

But anyway, food is loved. How to resist you tell me?!

Meet up with NPM before her weird shift starts

Hello Humans,

I realize I've been updating my blog on outdated things. HAHA.

Meet up with NPM before she officially steps into the next phase of her life-working life! Oh well, by now she has been working for 2 weeks already. Haha, now you know how outdated this is!

Planned our lunch date at 49 Seats Cafe but unfortunately the sole of NPM's shoes was coming off and hence we went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to check out their shoes. And quite suay, the only pair of shoes that she eyed was faulty and of course we didn't buy it. So we had our lunch at Korean Restaurant (the name is really call Korean Restaurant) to save time on travelling and perhaps we'll have time to get her shoes later when we get to town!

So here's my Porky (mild spicy) with rice and her Spicy Tofu soup with rice! I always eat the same things for Korean food cos there isn't much for me to explore in the first place. Or perhaps I'm just being safe as usual. Side dishes are pretty nice too and can be refilled! Despite being weekend, there wasn't much people in the restaurant. In fact, we were one of the very few X: But anyway, the taste of the food are pretty not bad and the portion of the meat is quite generous. You know some people like to cheat you by putting lots of veggi beneath the meat to make it seems like there're a lot of meat?! Luckily this is not one of them cos this meal costed me around $17, but come to think about, it is very expensive right? HAHA. Catch up a bit before heading off to KBox after our lunch and we didn't have time to get her shoes X: Hee, sang those standard songs that we always sing. lalallalalaaaaa. Too bad that we didn't keep our song list updated up since we seldom listen to new songs. But some old songs are awesome, really! Pretty much our standard date of eating and singing HEE.

All the best for working NPM! Hopefully we'll still can find a good timing for meet up due to your weird working schedule! HAHAHHHA.

M&M Dates with Laopo ZY

Hello Humans,

Musical: The Phantom of the Opera

The distance and angle from my seat! Seems a bit slanted but it was okay!

The long awaited musical, which was supposed to be my first musical experience, was finally here on 25th August (Paiseh I know it's kind of outdated but bo-bian). To be honest, my excitement level was the highest when we made the purchase of the tickets. It then went on and off. HAHA, it was quite a hard time for us to search for the best seats and I can remember how heart-wrecking it was when someone bought the super best seats that we were eyeing.

Anyway, it was a threesome date with ZY and her younger sister. We were kinda excited in some sense and I wondered how great our seats would be since our tickets are so expensive. And it did not disappoint us cos we were really kinda near the stage! As in we get to see the performers' facial expression (though it may not be those super clear kind but still can see I think). The stage was a grand one and they even cover it up so as to prevent people from taking photos of it -.- The performers can really sing, and some were like oh-my-god super high pitch! I was lost here and there but I felt so happy when I hear familiar music/songs! HEE. We were also quite curious of whether the music was played by an orchestra or via CD or whatever cos it was  really fantastic! We went into the crowd in front of the stage after the performance and saw the band! :D It was like damn awesome. If only I can play an instrument! And I can't help it but to confess that Christine's childhood guy friend (aka her bf) looks so good-looking! HAHA. It was a pity that we couldn't find the poster of the musical for memory ):

View of other seats

Movie: The Purge

The other M date with ZY was MOVIE!

I've finally have a movie date on a random Tuesday night.

Thanks ZY for reading my post and accompany me to do things randomly! HEE. So anyway, sometimes it's good to have a cinema near your house and when it is not really crowded. I mean there wasn't a lot of people buying tickets and all. So ZY read about my post on Movie Mood and she hinted me to date her out, which I did by PM-ing her. So yes, I dated her. As I was afraid that we can't get good seats should we buy the tickets too late, I reached at 6.20pm for our 7.30pm movie. To my surprise, there were barely some taken seats. Also, I realized that it's good to have movie date on Tuesday if you have a passion card cos you'll get to have a free combo- a pop-corn and a drink. *Cheapo mode on*

So anyway, the movie was quite a short one- 85 minutes. But it goes straight to the point instead of beating around the bush. It started a few hours right before The Purge and end right after The Purge. The Purge is a legalized time frame from 7pm-7am on a day for people (i.e. the Americans) to do something like killing, fighting, burning or whatever they like, to release the beast side of them and to cleanse their souls. In other way, the country will be "benefited" from The Purge by having low crime rate, low unemployment rate and maybe some other stuffs that I didn't really catch. For those victims, their loss were seen as a scarification for the better of the society.

This movie made me pondered for a while for some issues. It raised issues of humanity, social issues etc.

1. The Purge should be supported as it helps the progress of the country. For instance, a safe nation with low unemployment rate and low crime rate. However, all the figures are so unreal cos hello, people might just wait for that day of the year to do all the evil crimes. In fact this idea wasn't really realistic. Imagine there are some many people being killed, the employees and the employers. How can a workplace/organization/shop function properly the next day? For example, a lost of a employer or a leading figure could risk the functioning of the company. What happen to the destroyed infrastructures?

2. Do we have the rights to end the lives of anyone, especially those of lower social class just because they are homeless or different skin colours? This was highlighted in the movie and it was quite sad to admit that some people do think so that the lives of the homeless or lower social class indeed have less worth as they have lesser contribution in the society and in fact they were seen as burden.

3. Should I be one of the people witnessing the victim (e.g. the Black in the movie), will I try to save him? He was begging for help. He's innocent but he became a prey of the night. Who is he for me to save and to risk the lives of my family? I don't know what kind of decision I will actually make. To watch him die since it's better to protect your loved ones first or to save a life. It seems that kids have more empathy towards the victims and hence the son helped him. Yet standing from the viewpoint of his dad, what he was doing was just to protect his family. HMM, so honestly speaking, I guess I'll do the same as the dad, being selfish, protective and heartless. Though it's gonna sound cruel but I think more fault lies in those who wanna to kill that man, though unwillingness to lend a helping is kind of immoral too...

4. If I'm the dad, will I hand over the Black to those people who wanted to kill him? I think my stand is already quite obvious for point 3 already X: But humanity can be inspired or reminded even in the nick of time (:

5. If I'm the mum, will I kill those neighbours who nearly killed my whole family? I'm a petty person and I don't think I'll be able to face those fake people in the near future and moreover they might just come back for revenge on The Purge next year. 斩草除根,免有后患。OMG I sounds damn cruel again. But it's really like I wouldn't provoke you if you don't provoke me right? HMM, humans....

So yeah, the movie is pretty not bad. Those points above are just some random thoughts of mine. To me The Purge is something lack of moral and is a flawed activity. Does it really cleanse one's soul by doing all these stuff? Does the society and country really benefit from it? Sorry I don't think so.Maybe it set us thinking that violent doesn't solve the problem? Maybe.

So that was it for my M&M date with ZY. Can't think of a list for ZY to date me yet. We'll see how :)

Meet up equates to meeting awesome people and yummy food!

Hello Humans,

I've found another reason to feast- MEET UP! HAHAHHA.

1. Kith Cafe

Meet up with 117 for brunch date. The both of us don't have any fate with Botanical Garden cos we planned to visit Food for Thought and walk around the garden after our brunch. It's either haze or rain, so we shall visit it NEXT TIME, one fine day. So as usual, we came out with random back-up plan of going to Kith Cafe and head for Despicable Me 2! Finally got to try Kith Cafe after so long as planned trips to there haven't been a successful one. Okay the food don't really look very appealing here but they taste alright! The one that's bigger in the picture is Big Breakfast ($16 before gst) that comes with choice of bread (I chose multi grain), choice of egg (I chose Omelette), grilled tomato, bacon and mushroom. The toast is slightly hard for me but I guess maybe all toasts will turn harder as they are left in the open. 117 ordered Chicken Mushroom Sandwich ($12-$14 before gst i think) and having tasted a bit, it should be not bad I guess.

Overall taste: Not bad, but a bit pricey. Environment is alright too, it would be good to spend your time with a cake and a cup of tea/coffee. And I don't mind going back another day cos I wanna try their duck sandwich! Think I saw it somewhere before and it looks not bad! :D

Waited for the rain to stop but it was never ending so we walked in the rain with our umbrellas to PS and happily bought our tickets straight when we reached there. I've never thought that I'll watch Despicable Me 2 cos it's like.. too cute... it's like for kids to watch in cinema. HAHA. I mean this kind of movie confirm plus chop Channel 5 will air it one fine day and I don't mind waiting for years. But anyway, it was really a let-down-your-hair kind of movie cos it's cute and funny! It can be brainless and senseless stuff but it's just for laughter. So yeah, not bad huh! :D

2. Tiong Bahru Bakery

Pretty food that we ordered at Tiong Bahru Bakery. Seriously don't remember their names- the yellowish pie thingy is pandan flavour and it tastes a bit like the egg tart I had earlier of that day; the round round thing is probably caramel something?; and the last one I remember! It's chocolate croissant and Earl Grey Lavender tea. Actually all of them taste pretty similar, layer by layer, and hard to cut using knife and fork. Atmosphere is pretty fine too cos we managed to get the corner seat and I can only see NPM in front of me. HEE.

Overall taste: Not bad, but a but pricey. Selection is quite limited with some sandwiches, tarts, pies. Probably better for breakfast or tea-time. I think my expectations and hopes were too high and I was a bit disappointed leh X:

So after our brunch date, we headed for our make-up class that was arranged just for the two of us. HAHAHHA, too bad cos you gonna do what you've promised.

That is us after our make-up, with our smoky eyes and falsies! But ahem, my eyes are too sensitive for me to use my eyeliner for the lower eyes ): I teared and refused to try. HAHA. NPM damn power, she drew all.

Gonna remove falsies as it's either falsies or glasses. A bit pity cos the falsies is $1 a pair and I wore it for less than 10 minutes? So die die must take a photo! HAHAHHA.

Say HI to NPM's pretty eyes and lashes! Was told by the instructor that to have more natural look of the falsies, the criss-cross one should be used so that it can blend it with our own's lashes. Okay, noted. So that was our first try! HEEE.

3. Tom's Palette

Not sure if you can see my make-up clearly since my hair and glasses is covering part of the make-up done. Personally I quite like this photo cos of my neat hair, eye make-up and yummy food. HEE. But anyway, headed to Shaw Tower/Center to look for recruit agency but they moved or something so we settled ourselves with yummy food again!

Here's pretty NPM with her full make-up, posing with Banana and Honey Roasted Nut Ice Cream and Waffle (Promo $5). It was quite funny when I commented that I couldn't see her eyes in the first try X: Anyway thanks girl to accompany me to walk around in Bugis while I'm waiting for time to pass to meet up with my friends for dinner! HEE.

Overall Rating: As a banana fan, I love the taste of the ice cream and it comes with nuts in it! and the hot waffle! I guess $5 should consider cheap already huh! Anyway they have quite a few range of flavors and a lot seems to be innovated by them! They have interesting flavours! For example there's one Salted Egg Ice Cream, it really tastes like salted egg and I feel like I'm eating Mooncake (I don't know why but maybe cos it's coming soon?). But, I vaguely recalled that my friend whom visited it last time did mention that she didn't enjoy one of the flavor that she ordered. So... remember to ask for tasting of the icecream before buying them huh!

4. 藤

So after bidding goodbye to NPM, I walked around and meet up with my BFFs at this Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant 藤. Check out these lovely sushi! They look just like the usual ones we see outside! HAHA, and just nice there are 5 pieces for 5 of us! We initially thought that there are only 4 cos the one at the most left is camouflaged with the veggi! HAHA! Yes, I know we are damn cute :D

I super love this one. Piping hot, cheezy mushroom! I secretly took the biggest one HAHAHHA! Okay no longer a secret since I let it out here. Wait, I think I told them too.

Sushissss! The total bill of that dinner was around $100. Some of the food are a bit salty, depends on whether you prefer it to be salty or less salty. Since I'm quite 重口味kind I actually like some of their saltiness! HAHA

BFFs! Too bad CS couldn't make it but I'm still glad that we manage to meet up after so long! Great catch-up session with random topics! Hee. Oh yes, I have to mention this staff who is so helpful in helping us to take photos. He suggested to take with the signboard too- help customers and help to promote the restaurant. HAHA.

Overall Rating: Great environment for meet-up (we were there for around 2hours plus?) with awesome people. Price may seems a bit high but maybe because it's vegetarian food plus it's a restaurant. (:

I think I should stop here. Photo bomb of yummy food is sinful as it seduce our taste-buds and crave for more food. HAHA

meet up with loves

Hello Humans,

Here's a very outdated update regarding meet up with my loves! :)

This was taken during BFF meet up in Feb at LingZhi, my first time trying vegetarian buffet! We decided to have steamboat cos it was near Chinese New Year and perhaps steamboat will have more feel. HAHA. Anyway I always look like giant next to them -.-

Hello to our Mushroom hotpot buffet!I think the soup base on the left is original and the one on the right is tom yum (:

Please boil faster cos we wanna eat.

We had some dimsum too. Overall we think it's not very worth it cos it's quite pricey with quite limited choice of food. Being called mushroom hotpot buffet, I was really looking forward for more variety of mushroom but disappointingly, there is very few that we can choose from. ): So probably I wanna visit it anytime soon X:

But anyway the quality time with friends is always loved! We then proceed to town area and not knowing what to do, we wanted to head to some free museum. But we had to change our plans due to the change in weather! Seek for a shelter at TCC and we had coffee and chatted. (:

Me and xq shopping at topshop cos she wanna spend her vouchers.  Haha. This kind of hairband seems to be wore during photo taking only. Haha

Birthday celebration for Bay and YT at Eight Treasure (:

This looks so like a family photo and I love everyone of us here! :D

These are the food that we ordered: Satay, cereal prawn, pork, kang kong, and 猴头菇。I was really hesitating whether or not to vote against 猴头菇 cos it sounds so... you know right. HAHA. Not yeah end up we decided to give it a try. Great food and great friends, hope the birthday girls are as happy as us. HAHA.

Dessert time after our dinner. Had a hard time finding table for the 6 of us but nonetheless we got it (: after that was home sweet home since yt working the next day.

I can't wait for the picnic session on coming saturday with you girls!
